This summer, the board of FMA decided to organise a summer picnic in Suomenlinna that includes a walking guided tour! The event was a public event, opened for everyone besides Malaysians living in Finland.
The tour started at the JT-Line waterbus harbour at the Market Square, where participants were transported to Suomenlinna while having sparkling wine on the open top deck of the boat. Upon gathering everyone at the designated spot in Suomenlinna (some decided to take the public ferry to the fortress), the walking guided tour began and was led by FMA board member, Julia Moh.

The FMA's fabulous summer picnic spot
Staying true to the Malaysian style, the picnic was organised as a potluck. Everyone brought something to eat and to drink. There were lots of different foods, from roasted chicken and salad to homemade fried meehoon and snacks.

FMA Summer Picnic 2015
The event ended around 5pm at the King's Gate, with some of us taking the JT-Line waterbus back to Helsinki. It was a truly enjoyable day and once again, we gathered to get to know one another more and meet some new people. Even the children enjoyed the nature and weather on that day!
If you wish to join us next time, watch this space and look out for our next event! Or just drop by and say hi! Either way, we always love to meet new people!
