Ambassador Luncheon 2015

The Ambassador luncheon of the year was once again a very nice, delightful event. The lunch event was held on the 14th of August and as in the past years as well, the chosen venue was a cabinet at Ravintola Perho.

The luncheon speakers, the Malaysian Ambassador to Finland, Mrs. Blanche Olbery and the Finnish Ambassador to Malaysia, Mr. Matti Pullinen both cover topics such as the bilateral relations between Finland and Malaysia and the current situations and events in both countries.

Ambassador Blanche Olbery covered topics such as business relations and opportunities between Finland and Malaysia, visits of country representatives in either country, past and upcoming events of the Malaysian embassy as well as the economic situations of both countries. Ambassador Matti Pullinen touched the same issues and also gave a briefing on the political situation in Malaysia and the country's international image.

After their speeches guests had a chance to ask questions about whatever may have come to their mind. In the end there were some truly interesting discussions about matters related to Finland and Malaysia, and of course their relations.

The delicious lunch menu consisted of fried salmon, spiced potatoes, a salad and bread variety, and a delicious creamy soup.

Of course a group photo was necessary after the event. As a visiting guest we had Mrs. Anita Navaratnam (5th from the right), the founder and head of the Malaysian Business Council. She gave a briefing on her initiative to promote and boost the business relations between Finland and Malaysia.
