How to spend a cloudy and grey day in summer time? A hot sauna and a dip in the lake would do for some. Sip teh tarik, have karipap and chat. Go on for an epic pokemon hunt, the latest craze? Or, a picnic and enjoy Helsinki city's simple beauty on a island overlooking the vast sea? That was exactly what we did on Saturday 23rd.

The meeting point was at the market square and although the the weather seemed to worsen at first, it quickly became more promising as soon as we approached Suomenliina.

We quickly settled down on the same spot FMA had organized the picnic last year and had one of the best view. The picnic stayed true to our love for food, with everyone bringing with them a plentiful to share and eat.

The weather improved eventually, more came to join us later and the picnic went full swing of laughter, recipes exchanged and special thanks to Julia Moh for organizing the event!
